I’m often asked what the SEALs and other Special Operations Force (SOF) components will be doing in the future. For the past decade and a half, their deployments have been Iraq- and Afghanistan-centric, and a great deal of those deployments have been in active combat. But what about the future? ISIS? Syria? A re-engagement in Iraq? It would seem that with the proliferation of state and non-state insurgent entities worldwide, we are engaged in an endless, global whack-a-mole game. As for the SEALs, their way ahead has been nicely detailed by their current commander, Rear Admiral Brian Losey. I invite you to his comments.
