Changes in administration are difficult for many in government service and perhaps more so for those in military service. For them, it’s also a change in Commander-in-Chief. A question on the minds of great many in uniform has to do with policy. How will that change their lives, their time with their families, and their deployment rotations? For our special operators, who enjoy a rigorous deployment schedule, what will a change in administration mean for them? For our special operations forces (SOF), it’s been war without end for close to a decade and a half. Alexander Powell of CNA makes a case for a more robust funding of SOF or a more relaxed deployment of SOF.
